The Clinical Studies

OS-01 FACE MOISTURIZER: 3-Month Efficacy Study1

A 12-week, third-party split-face, double-blind clinical study evaluated the effects of OS-01 FACE and the OS-01 Peptide™ in 22 female participants (ages 47–65) with dry, normal, and combination skin. Participants applied OS-01 FACE MOISTURIZER 2x daily to one side of the face and an identical peptide-free "vehicle" formula to the other, isolating the peptide's effect from the rest of the formulation. Barrier function, wrinkles, texture, and radiance were measured with instrumental devices (Vapometer, Antera 3D, VISIA CR), while fine lines/wrinkles, skin tone, texture, firmness, elasticity, radiance, and overall appearance were evaluated visually and tactiley by expert clinical graders. Published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Zonari et al., 2024.

The results after 12 weeks:

  • 100% showed visibly smoother skin with improved overall appearance (blind expert grading)

OS-01 EYE CREAM: 3-Month Efficacy Study2 

A clinical study conducted by a third-party research organization evaluated the effects of OS-01 EYE CREAM over 3 months in 22 participants aged 47–65. Participants applied OS-01 EYE CREAM to their periorbital skin 2x daily. Assessments included bioinstrumental measurements of skin hydration, barrier function, firmness, and elasticity, as well as expert photographs grading fine lines, wrinkles, under-eye puffiness, and dark circles. The study has been published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science.

    Face moisturizer

    Well …. I’ve dry skin and I just don’t see what this is doing for me. I am 63 and I’ve always taken care of my skin. In my teen years I did tan, but also wore sunscreen. I don’t know how much longer I will give this a chance it’s been a couple months now.

    We're sorry OS-01 FACE hasn't felt like it's making a visible difference for your dry skin. A couple of things that can affect results with dry skin types:

    Applying OS-01 FACE to slightly damp skin, then following with a moisturizer, can help lock in hydration and improve how the product feels day-to-day.
    Because OS-01 FACE works at the cellular level to support skin longevity, some benefits (like improved barrier function and resilience) build gradually over time rather than delivering an immediate hydration boost the way a moisturizer or serum would.

    Didn't believe in it

    But after a few months, it was indisputable that the hyperpigmentation that's been plaguing me for decades since my 30's, and which had been treated again and again with IPL, was at least 90% diminished. Most particularly noticeable a few months in was that the dark speckles that took almost two weeks to slough off after IPL started to come off after only 4 days. And, the hyperpigmentation is returning at a much, much lesser severity despite the summer sun. I was so focused on this this that it took me some time to realize how effective this moisturizer is at keeping dryness at bay. I rarely reach for my stick balm at night now.
