A third-party research organization with no affiliation to OneSkin conducted a 12-week double-blind clinical study to evaluate the effects of OS-01 BODY on skin, biological aging, and systemic inflammation.
The Findings
OS-01 BODY significantly improves skin barrier function, hydration, texture, and general appearance. Perhaps even more exciting, using OS-0-1 BODY for three months paused the participants’ biological age and significantly reduced circulating inflammation biomarker, IL-8.

But here’s the really exciting part. The group that used OS-01 BODY had a significant reduction in IL-8 circulating cytokines compared to the baseline. This confirms what we’ve suspected for some time – that stronger and healthier skin better protects your body from external factors, which may contribute to lower levels of inflammation throughout the body.Not only that, but participants in the OS-01 BODY group didn’t show a change in their biological age during the study, while the biological age of the group using the control moisturizer increased. This confirms that using OS-01 BODY can help put the brakes on systemic aging.
The improvements in skin’s hydration, barrier function, texture and general appearance are consistent with the data that our scientists have collected in the lab, showing that the OS-01 peptide increases skin’s epidermal thickness and key biomarkers associated with collagen production, hyaluronic acid production, and cellular proliferation. 01
As for pausing biological age and reducing systemic inflammation, this confirms (1) that skin does so much more than serve your aesthetics and (2) that the OS-01 peptide can improve the way you experience aging. While this study is groundbreaking within the aging and skin care fields, it’s the type of data that we’ve been eager to explore since our inception, and completely in line with what we’ve observed in the lab: that the OS-01 peptide reduces cellular senescence in skin01, a central hallmark of aging within the body.

3 unique attributes of the study:
This study analyzed the impact of OS-01 BODY on participants’ biological age and systemic inflammation
Using GlycanAge, a test that analyzes glycans (complex sugar molecules in the blood that change as you age), investigators measured the biological age of participants, assessing how old their bodies behaved before and after topical treatment with OS-01 BODY.
Investigators also measured cytokine levels (critical biomarkers of systemic inflammation) in participants’ blood to understand the deeper, whole-body impacts of using OS-01 BODY.
The study eliminated human bias
To minimize bias, our study was double-blinded, meaning that neither the researchers nor the participants knew whether they were using OS-01 BODY or the control moisturizer.
