Smoother, more radiant skin with a stronger barrier—all from the OS-01 peptide
By comparing improvements between skin treated with OS-01 FACE versus the vehicle formulation, the investigators found that the OS-01 peptide:
  • Significantly improves barrier function and protects the skin from dehydration
  • Significantly improves skin texture
  • Improves skin radiance and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Cinical Efficacy Meets Scientific ProofThe improvement in barrier function is consistent with data that our scientists have collected in the lab, showing that the OS-01 peptide increases skin’s epidermal thickness — a key factor in barrier strength and function. (01)Additionally, the improvement in skin texture aligns with what’s happening at the cellular level, since our scientists have determined that the OS-01 peptide increases key biomarkers associated with collagen and hyaluronic acid production (01), which contribute to more even skin texture. Finally, improvements in radiance and wrinkles were likely due to the fact that the OS-01 peptide has been shown to reduce the levels of senescence in skin, a central hallmark of aging. The study eliminated human bias
To minimize bias, our study was double-blinded, meaning that neither the researchers nor the participants knew which side of their face received the OS-01 formula, and which got the lookalike without the peptide.
Three methods of analysis
1. Instrumental analysis:
  • Vapometer to measure skin barrier function
  • Antera 3D to measure skin texture and wrinkles
  • VISIA imaging software to measure skin radiance
2. Expert clinical grade evaluation: Blinded experts grade high resolution images of participants’ skin before and after treatment3. Self-perception questionnaire: Participants report the effects they observed before and after treatmentInstrumental analyses were used whenever possible, which unlike expert clinical evaluation and self-perception offer completely objective results. Of course, some results can’t be measured and the way people feel about their skin matters too. That’s why we included expert analysis and personal perception results as well.
